Master Adeyemi David, 17-year-old student of Yewa Senior Secondary School, Aga, Ikorodu, on Wednesday, September 6, 2021, won 4 sets in the Snooker game of the ongoing IKODASS Indoor Games against his opponents to emerge the winner.
The tournament was held at the Snooker room of the Eroz Place, 71, Borokinni Street, Aga, Ikorodu.
In the four games played, Adeyemi beat Tella Olabisi in two sets and also won two sets against Agboje Charles.
Agboje won a set against Adeyemi while Tella lost two sets against the champion to emerge second and third respectively.
Mr Rotimi Erogbogbo, the IKODASS Chairman, speaking earlier before the game, said that organizers will allow the game to go on despite the failure of other participants to turn – up in order to encourage those in attendance

“We expected five players but we only have three on ground. Ordinarily, we are supposed to call – off the tournament but we will allow it to go on to encourage these young boys”, he said.
“We expect the Chief umpire to make them play competitive games against themselves.
“Our aim is to encourage indoor games among our youths in Ikorodu and make them ready for tournaments outside the town.
“I wish you all great games and do not forget that tomorrow is the grand finale and we expect you all to be in attendance for your prizes”, he said.
The Chief Umpire for the Snooker game, Mr Rufai Abolade Carmil, speaking after the game, described the games as wonderful, adding that the players have what it takes to represent Ikorodu in any tournament.
